Silver Sixpence In Her Shoe is all about handmade, bespoke accessories for the modern, vintage inspired bride.

My accessories are designed in house and custom made by hand using unique materials so you will receive something truely individual. The 2012 collection has been inspired by the discovery of a box of antique handmade laces. They have been lovingly restored, adorned with vintage pearls and sparkles and updated into contemporary pieces that every bride will love. My range includes birdcage veils, headpieces, versatile headbands, garters, shoe clips and re conditioned lucky horseshoes. Accessories are available for maids, flower girls and Mother of the bride on request.

You are welcome to buy from the collection online or arrange a bespoke appointment. This starts with a consultation where we chat through your wedding ideas. You might have an old piece of your grandmother’s jewellery hiding away at home that you want to upcycle into your accessories for the day. I also will have plenty of sparkly vintage surprises for you to choose from. Keep your fabric from any dress alterations as I can often work using that also. I love to make do and mend!

I also run craft workshops for your ideal afternoon hen party activity. I will guide you through how to make your very own vintage style headpiece, be it for your own wedding or as a guest. Materials and finished piece are all included in the price. To add to the retro experience everything comes set out in gorgeous vintage glass jars and bowls for you to spend the hours rumaging through. No sewing experience necessary!
