As of yet I haven't put together a directory of wedding entertainment because after consulting a friend of mine who plays in a band, it seemed a rather monumental task to undertake.

Instead, we would just like to encourage people to support local bands or musicians when looking for musical entertainment. In the broader sense of 'entertainment' there are many performers out there who you could hire, especially popular if you have a large number of children at your wedding.

If you are planning on playing CD's I would personally recommend Putumayo World Music, who has a fantastic collection of international music. You can check out their website at www.putumayo.com and you can buy their CD's through a wonderful fairtrade shop based in Nottingham, called Iguazu, a favourite haunt of mine.
