Sumptuous and beautifully designed marquees
Who are we...
We are husband and wife team Steve and Sarah and we started our business to offer couples in the North-West a unique chance to have their weddings in beautiful canvas marquees decorated with inspirational themes.
Posh Frocks & Wellies offer traditional canvas pole marquees with enchantingly themed interiors. With a love for the smell and feel of real canvas our company has led the way in the revival of demand for traditional marquees. But not only that, we have created our own beautiful interiors in natural fabrics and bespoke design theme furniture.
With our passion for colour and design we have created distinctive themes, which are perfect for parties and weddings. We are always thinking of new designs and add a different twist on current trends. We offer a bespoke service where we can work with your ideas and colours to create a look to perfectly match your desired interior.
We travel all over the north west of England but also will travel further afield for special occasions. If you have a venue you would like us to decorate we can also offer this service. Using drapes, props and lighting we can transform your venue into a magical place for your event.
One of the principal drivers of our original business ethos was to minimise our impact on the environment and conduct ourselves as sustainably as possible within the current economic climate.
We do not use carpets in our interiors as these are used once only and then go the landfill sites, instead we prefer to use washable matting, it’s more labour intensive but we feel its worth it.
Our UK made marquees are largely constructed from natural products including canvas and wood.
We always use local suppliers wherever possible for all our services minimising their carbon impact.
We have reduced our diesel usage over 2015 by up to a quarter by reducing journeys by using a trailer for wherever possible on multiple jobs, so reducing journey times significantly.
We conduct most of our canvas repair work ourselves, reducing the need for expensive and carbon dense courier services.
