Bouquets and Butterflies

Growing seasonal, English flowers for country style weddings

Who are we...

I grow old fashioned English flowers such as delphiniums, snapdragons, cornflowers, borage and larkspur. I also try to grow flowers you wouldn’t find in a florist as this makes every bouquet unique and never made to a formula.

Bouquets and Butterflies grow seasonal, country style English flowers for weddings, parties and events. Our flowers are organic and eco friendly and make beautiful arrangements for a natural, vintage look. Our bouquets contain a mixture of flowers, herbs, foliage and grasses which go well in teapots, jam jars and vintage crockery.

Our season is from April to September providing flowers such as tulips, anenomes, hellebores, sweet peas, scabious, verbena, sunflowers, snapdragon and many other blousey, dreamy blooms! We spend a lot of time working with the brides to make sure they get the right look.

We are based on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border and we provide field grown flowers for weddings across the whole of East Anglia. We aim to be as eco friendly as possible using organic manures and natural pesticides.

We provide relaxed, natural looking bridal bouquets, buttonholes, church arrangements , arches and reception flowers. We also work with Anne Bell, who is a Chelsea Gold medal winning florist who has a lot of experience with flowers, even home grown ones! If you are looking for something a little different to the traditional florist style then Bouquets and Butterflies is for you!

We provide field grown flowers and aim to be as eco friendly as possible using organic manures and natural pesticides.

I had trained as a florist and I felt terribly guilty arranging flowers with such a large carbon footprint.  So I dug up a small patch in my field, put up a polytunnel and started from there.

In the first year I couldn’t believe how many bees, insects and butterflies there were in the plot ... hence the name “Bouquets and Butterflies”!

Clients Say...

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the flowers you provided for our wedding. They were stunning, especially the red peonies - absolutely breathtaking! They are definitely my new favourite flower. On our honeymoon in Aix-en-Provence we saw lots of them at the flower market and it really reminded me of our special day. Also, the barn looked fab, I just loved the jars with the rose patterned fabric and raffia - it was exactly the look I had in mind. There was absolutely nothing I could fault, you did a great job!" - Amy & Jonny
